He was a Research Fellow in medicine at Osher Research Center, Harvard Medical School. Currently he is an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is conducting research that focuses on high quality clinical trials in the area of integrative oncology, such as effects of acupuncture on chemotherapy-induced neutropenia. He was the co-Principle Investigator of a NIH sponsored clinical trial that evaluates effects of acupuncture for chemotherapy-induced neutropenia in ovarian cancer at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and currently he is the Principle Investigator of another NIH sponsored clinical trial that evaluates effects of acupuncture for chem-radiation induced swallow difficultly in head and neck cancer patients.
